Itinerary Example
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Begin your safari with a stay in Arusha, using the day to explore local birding sites around the lodge.
Day 2 & 3: Tarangire National Park
Spend two days in Tarangire, exploring different habitats within the park, from baobab forests to riverine areas, which attract a diverse bird population.
Day 4 & 5: Lake Manyara National Park
Move to Lake Manyara, where the alkaline lake and its surrounding habitats offer fantastic bird watching, especially for migratory species and large flocks of flamingos.
Day 6 & 7: Serengeti National Park
Explore the vast plains of the Serengeti, focusing on bird species that thrive in the open savannah and acacia woodlands. The park’s kopjes are particularly good for spotting resident birds of prey.
Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater

Birding Gear and Tips
