Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, meet your safari guide and transfer to your hotel in Arusha. The rest of the day is yours to relax at the hotel, enjoy the facilities, or take a brief stroll around the town. This quiet day prepares you for the adventure ahead, offering a gentle introduction to Tanzania.

Day 2: Arusha to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, depart Arusha for the Serengeti National Park. The drive itself is an adventure, featuring scenic landscapes and the opportunity to spot wildlife along the way. Enter the park and begin with an afternoon game drive, exploring the vast plains that are home to a rich variety of animals, including elephants, lions, cheetahs, and countless bird species. Overnight at a mid-range lodge in the heart of the Serengeti, where you can unwind to the sounds of the African wilderness.

Day 3: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Dedicate this entire day to exploring the expansive Serengeti. With morning and afternoon game drives, you have the best chance to cover significant ground and witness the diverse habitats within the park. Your experienced guide will help you search for the Big Five and will explain the complex ecosystem dynamics of the Serengeti. Enjoy a picnic lunch in a picturesque location, surrounded by nature. Spend another night at your lodge, reflecting on the day’s encounters.

Day 4: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Start the day with an early morning game drive in the Serengeti before heading to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrive at the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, known as ‘Africa’s Eden’, in the afternoon. Settle into your mid-range lodge located on the crater’s edge, offering stunning views down into the caldera. The evening is free for you to relax at the lodge, perhaps enjoying a sunset view over the crater.

Day 5: Explore Ngorongoro Crater and Return to Arusha

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater after breakfast for a half-day safari. This UNESCO World Heritage site is rich in wildlife, including some of the densest mammalian populations in Africa. Look for lions, rhinos, elephants, and many other species in this unique natural setting. After lunch in the crater, begin your return drive to Arusha, where your safari experience concludes.
