Day 1: Arusha – Serengeti National Park
Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Arusha. Drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with optional photo stops before entering the Serengeti in time for an afternoon game drive. Watch the scenery shift from highland forest to endless golden savannahs. Spot lions, giraffes, elephants, and the first herds of wildebeest. Dinner and overnight at a camp or lodge in the central Serengeti.
Day 2: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Highlands
Enjoy a sunrise game drive in the Serengeti, tracking big cats and catching the bush awakening. After breakfast, continue with a game drive en route as you exit the park heading toward the Ngorongoro highlands. Along the way, keep an eye out for zebras, buffalos, and more elephants. Arrive in Karatu or Ngorongoro lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater Tour – Return to Arusha
After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. This incredible caldera is home to a dense population of wildlife, including lions, hippos, zebras, warthogs, and the elusive black rhino. After enjoying a packed lunch in the crater floor picnic area, begin the drive back to Arusha where your safari concludes.
