Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), a friendly representative will meet and transfer you to your lodge in Arusha. Spend the rest of the day relaxing in the tranquil gardens and preparing for the safari ahead. Overnight at your selected accommodation in Arusha.
Day 2: Fly to Northern Serengeti (Kogatende)
After an early breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Arusha Airport for your scenic flight to the Northern Serengeti (Kogatende Airstrip). Upon landing, you’ll embark on a game drive in this remote region, known for the iconic Mara River crossings and dramatic predator-prey interactions. Overnight at a lodge or mobile camp positioned near the migration route.
Day 3: Full Day in Northern Serengeti
Spend the day immersed in the beauty and intensity of the migration. You’ll explore the plains along the Mara River, where crocodiles lie in wait and herds gather in suspense. Day 4: Drive to Central Serengeti
After breakfast, enjoy a game drive en route as you head south toward the Central Serengeti. This region offers year-round game viewing and is particularly rich in big cats such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Arrive at your lodge or camp in the Seronera Valley area for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Explore Serengeti & Transfer to Karatu
Enjoy a morning game drive in the central Serengeti before heading southeast through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop along the way to admire sweeping crater views before arriving in the Karatu highlands, nestled between Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara. Overnight at your selected lodge in Karatu.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Tour – Mto wa Mbu
Early in the morning, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive inside the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Known as Africa’s Eden, the crater is home to elephants, lions, flamingos, and the rare black rhino. Enjoy a picnic lunch before exiting and heading to Mto wa Mbu for an overnight stay.
Day 7: Tarangire National Park – Return to Arusha
